At Vetoquinol, our mission is to listen, understand and respond to the needs of our customers. The Corporate Controller ensures the management of accounting operations and the production of financial information for the Canadian affiliate and assist the Director, Finance & Administration in his responsibilities.

MAIN ACTIVITIES: 

Accounting operations and financial statements

  • Compile, analyze and supervise the recording of the accounting and financial operations of the Company.
  • Coordinate the financial planning process.
  • Produce and present monthly and annually the company's financial statements, including the balance sheet and other financial information documents in accordance with the schedule established by the Group.
  • Ensure that inventories are correctly accounted for and valued in the financial system.
  • Monitor and update the cost components and variables.
  • Supervise and review end of month closings.

Analysis

  • Produce budget and ad hoc analyzes and forecasts for the benefit of company managers.

Budget

  • Coordinate and prepare operational and administrative budgets on an annual, five-year or forecast basis. Support top management in the process.
  • Analyze the company's budgets on a monthly basis.

Internal Control Procedure

  • Ensure the implementation and compliance with internal control procedures and Group policies.
  • Advise management on financial administration and administrative procedure issues.
  • Follow up on compliance with internal controls and policies and implement corrective measures when required.

Audits

  • Ensure the completion of the half-yearly and year-end audit, as well as other verifications required by government authorities.

Treasury

  • Ensure the treasury activities of the company.

Team management

Supervise, coordinate and animate the activity of his team in the best safety and working conditions and with a view to achieving the missions and objectives assigned for his activity. Contribute to the professional development of its employees

JOB REQUIREMENTS

PROFILE

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting and / or finance and recognized accounting designation
  • 5 to 7 years of accounting experience in a similar position
  • Experience in employee management
  • Experience producing management reports
  • Experience in coordinating budget processes
  • Fluency in French and English (oral and written)
  • Proficiency  of the Microsoft Office software
  • Knowledge of the JDE system
