Role Description
QuadReal is seeking an individual for a progressive role: Senior Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit Analyst ("Senior Analyst") reporting to the Manager, Internal Audit. As an integral member of both risk and internal audit functions, the successful applicant will be responsible for planning and executing internal audit projects, compliance review assignments, enterprise risk assessment and related projects.
Responsibilities
Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance
- Perform research to understand how the industry trends, risk dynamics and macroeconomics impact the company's ability to achieve strategic objectives, including compliance related Risk Universe as regulatory and environmental requirements evolve
- Assist in evolving and enhancing the existing enterprise risk management and compliance framework
- Assist in developing, tracking, and reporting of key risk indicators
- Analyzes data and articles to produce insightful intelligence on risk and compliance trends and emerging regulatory topics
- Assist in developing monitoring and assurance procedures for risk mitigating strategies and compliance procedures
- Prepare risk and compliance reporting documentation to Senior Management and the Audit Committee
Internal Audit
- Lead all phases of financial, operational and compliance reviews of the Company's businesses, including planning, performing risk assessment, designing testing plans, sample selection, reviewing supporting documentation, conducting onsite interviews with process owners, and closing meetings with management
- Develop and present recommendations for improvements in operational and financial systems and controls, both verbally and in writing.
- Assist in documenting policies and procedures, and identify and assess best practices as applicable.
- Assist in preparing the annual internal audit plan and compiling the quarterly updates to the Audit Committee
- Assist on departmental initiatives / projects as needed collaboratively with co-sourcing partner and other external subject matter experts
Experience
- Over 3-5 years of audit, risk or compliance experience in an accounting firm or industry
- Experience of compliance requirements from major regulators such as the SEC, FCA, FSRA or BCFSA
- Prior experience with GRC or data analytics tools is an asset
- Professional auditing and/or accounting designation (CPA-CA/CIA/CRCS/CSI/CRMA)
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Business or a relevant subject
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage and priorities multiple assignments
- Knowledge of/interest in regulatory, risk and compliance practices and policies
