Key Accountabilities: * Support the review, approval and payment processing of community investment grant requests * Execute internal and external community investment communications activities * Participate in community investment strategy development sessions * Support the administration of the Canadian Natural scholarship programs * Contribute to team projects and events as needed * Maintain and update databases, track metrics, conduct research and support reporting on community investment activities What You Bring to The Role: * Currently enrolled in a degree or program in the fields of Communications, Business Administration, or Indigenous Studies * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders * Sound judgment and interest in community investment, stakeholder relations, and corporate responsibility * Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities * Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks What We Offer: * Competitive salary * Paid time off during Christmas week and summer Fridays in July and August * Students may be eligible for relocation assistance pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Student Relocation Policy * Students will be responsible for finding their own accommodations during the work term * Multiple volunteer opportunities within the community * Opportunities to partake in initiatives such as the Intern Social Committee Check out our COMPENSATION & BENEFITS [https://www.cnrl.com/content/uploads/2024/03/Compensation-and-Benefits-Student.pdf] overview to learn more about what we have to offer! What you’ll do
The student will support the review and processing of community investment grants while executing internal and external communications activities. They will also assist in administering scholarship programs, maintaining databases, and conducting research to support reporting on community investment initiatives.
Requirements
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a degree program in Communications, Business Administration, or Indigenous Studies. Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a proactive interest in corporate responsibility and stakeholder relations are required.
