Job Description: The Initiative & Innovations Business Analyst role reporting to the Manager, B2B T&O Supplier Initiatives & Innovation is an integral role within the organization driving transformation, automation and facilitating decision making across all levels through various data insights. The Employee will be tasked with various projects and team tracking needs. This role will evolve during this stage of team development to enable best in class workforce, operational, reporting, visualizing and trend analysis capabilities. Liaises with stakeholders to understand requirements, issues, opportunities and, recommends solutions to enable the achievement of organizational goals.
Responsibilities: Convert raw data into meaningful analysis with the help of interactive, easy-to-understand dashboards and reports, as well as, provide insights to improve decision-making; Responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business analytics Filters and “cleans” data, and reviews performance indicators to locate and correct problems. Team project/initiative tracking for various streams – weekly updates, summaries related for stakeholder/steering committee review Monitors and tracks performance and addresses any issues. Business requirement gathering Interprets data, analyzes results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports. Develops and implements data collection from other systems and strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality. Remains alert to new techniques for insights, analytics, and data visualization, and devises new ways of applying them. Develop reporting specifications from business needs and choose a deadline for work completion. Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve issues. Performs onboarding, offboarding, adds and change requests as requested by line managers for Market Data services Creates documentation to ensure the supportability of analyses. Recommends approaches to streamline and integrate technological processes in the organization to improve overall efficiency. Facilitates discussions and follows a structured approach to analyze, document and communicate with stakeholders. Identifies opportunities to strengthen business analysis capability, such as: sharing expertise to promote technical development Stays abreast of industry technical and business trends through participation in professional associations, practice communities & individual learning. Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules. Works independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations. Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
MUST HAVE: Typically between 2-3 years of BA & PCO experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced level knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel and business intelligence tools Project tracking software MS Planner, MS Project or other suites Ability to quickly shape data into reporting and analytics solutions Possesses analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Willingness to learn new skills and work in a fast paced, frequently changing environment. Understands and can explain to others the core processes involved in their area of support. Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience. Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth. Collaboration & team skills - In-depth. Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth. Influence skills - In-depth. Excellent communication skills (clarity) Excel expertise (intermediate/advanced)
NICE TO HAVE: Banking/Financial industry experience Automation/implementation experience (contributing to) Knowledge of AI
Education: Post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
