Financial Analyst, FP&A
We are seeking a sharp, driven FP&A Analyst who is obsessed with financial modeling, leveraging data and technology for business insights, and investment performance.
Reporting to the Director, FP&A, you will be a trusted financial partner to our asset management, analytics and investment teams, translating data into the clear, well-structured analysis that drives operational and investment decisions.
This is a high-visibility role for someone early in their career who wants to develop deep FP&A expertise within a sophisticated real estate investment platform.
Duties and Responsibilities: Assist on behalf of finance with the annual budgeting process and periodic re-forecasts by partnering with asset management, analytics, core finance, investments and third-party property management teams collaboratively; Perform monthly and quarterly financial reports & analysis, including variance to budget analysis — revenue, expenses, NOI, and key financial drivers — delivering clear, actionable commentary to senior stakeholders; Support the monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting across the portfolio; Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance financial models, rolling forecasts, and long-range plans across the Canadian multi-family portfolio; Ensure KPIs / financial and operational reporting evolve with changes in market or operating conditions to highlight key opportunities; Prepare executive-level financial reports, investor presentations, and strategic planning documents that translate complex data into concise, decision-ready insights; Collaborate with the CAPEX team to track and report on capital expenditure programs, supporting return analysis and budget adherence across projects. Maintain interactive Power BI dashboards that provide asset managers, investment managers, and senior leadership with real-time visibility into portfolio and asset-level performance. Ensure consistency and integrity of financial and operational KPIs in close collaboration with the data team; Identify areas where actions/accountability are required to improve financial performance and deliver key initiatives; Streamline and automate reporting workflows, reducing manual effort and improving the speed and reliability of financial outputs; Proactively identify opportunities to integrate AI tools and automation into FP&A processes — from modelling and forecasting to reporting and data management.
Qualifications The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related field, and a minimum of 1 year of experience in financial analysis, accounting or reporting, as well as advanced Excel and communication skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and motivated by a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The compensation structure is comprised of a base salary that is market competitive and based on factors such as experience, education, designations, and skillset.
