Rest assured, you won't feel out of your element; we are committed to supporting your development at every stage, with regular check-ins designed to help you thrive.</p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>Client Onboarding</strong></p><p>Utilizing Excel to extract, transform, and load financial, utility, and infrastructure data from local governments into Waterworth. Initiatives for data automation are highly encouraged!</p><p></p><p><strong>Financial Forecasting</strong></p><p>Use your accounting fundamentals and domain knowledge to build and calibrate forward-looking financial models that turn data into visual stories.</p><p></p><p><strong>Strategic Advising</strong></p><p>Support community growth by partnering with City Managers, Finance Directors, and Public Works Directors (our "Waterworth Champions") to deliver critical insights for their long-term strategic planning. </p><p></p><p>This includes conducting live online presentations for councils, boards, and the public to aid in informed decision-making.</p><p></p><p><strong>Build Meaningful Relationships: </strong></p><p>Earn trust and credibility as a go-to advisor for senior municipal leaders. Your consistency, integrity, and insight will form the backbone of lasting partnerships.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Accounting &amp; Financial Acumen</strong></p><p>Understand key accounting/finance concepts and you?re excited to apply that knowledge to real-world challenges in public sector contexts.</p><p></p><p><strong>Proficient in Excel</strong></p><p>Must be able to demonstrate experience using spreadsheets to analyze data and build models.
