About the role

Job Description What is the opportunity? The Hedge Funds team within ICCM is responsible for managing RBC’s credit relationships with Hedge Fund managers. The incumbent will partner with all of RBC Capital Market’s trading desks to ensure optimization of credit appetite, the use of trading lines and maximize revenue with Hedge Fund managers. The role includes the responsibility for ensuring the necessary support for trading desks to meet their established targets for growing revenues with Hedge Fund managers within RBC's risk appetite, while serving as a primary point of engagement with clients. What will you do? Timely preparation of transaction requests in support of RBCCM credit intensive trading activities with global hedge fund managers on behalf of the funds they manage Support the maintenance and management of the credit relationship of a diverse portfolio of Hedge Fund accounts. Work with and advise product partners on the optimal amount of trading credit required to meet our strategic objectives with each client relationship. Support the management of the complete credit onboarding process in support of RBCCM trading relationships (risk limits, regulatory, legal, compliance, tax, and operational matters). Prepare and submit trading line requests to relevant Business Heads for their support. Participate in and create call memos for annual credit Due Diligence meetings. Work with our Trading Documentation team to ensure proper trading documents are negotiated. Continuous maintenance of accurate counterparty compliance reports including NAV and performance data. Work with other ICCM team members to strategically address any and all counterparty credit concerns that may arise. Understand and apply securities regulations governing hedge funds, mutual funds, pension funds and other institutional counterparties. What do you need to succeed? Must have’s: Undergraduate degree or higher Minimum 1-3 years of experience in financial services A general knowledge of Credit and Credit Risk Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in an interactive team environment Strong general PC skills and demonstrated capability to learn key internal systems An understanding of credit risks associated with Hedge Funds and the trading products they use. A basic knowledge of hedge funds and the different strategies they employ. Nice-to-have: Working towards MBA, CFA, CA, or other relevant professional designation What’s in it for you?
