About the role
Job Description What's the opportunity? As a Private Banking Credit Manager, you will underwrite and adjudicate borrowings originating from the Private Banking Network channels. You will assess the inherent risks while respecting Bank policies, identifying exceptions to credit principles, rules and guidelines. You will approve/amend and underwrite transactions and assess inherent risks while respecting disciplines imposed by Bank policies, accurately identify required exceptions to applicable folios and deliver exceptional partner experiences to contribute to our purpose of helping clients thrive and communities prosper. What will you do? Consistently demonstrate attributes of the RBC blueprint to deliver on the role mandate Apply your expertise in the adjudication of complex mortgage and personal lending applications within delegated lending limits Use sound judgment and knowledge of all credit policies to balance risk appetite with business growth Provide resolution to stakeholders related to credit decisions and policy interpretation Demonstrate strong collaboration positively impacting sales partners to win in the market Take the lead in identifying innovation that will improve adjudication efficiencies Ensure compliance to Anti Money Laundering (AML) requirements are satisfied at all times Actively participate in coaching routines to expand proficiencies and deliver high performance What do you need to succeed? Must-have Lending/credit experience Knowledge and understanding of personal lending guidelines and policy Understanding of how credit impacts clients’ overall financial planning Strong business and financial risk assessment and analytical skills Proven analytical and problem-solving skills Professional communication and call handling capabilities Ability to clearly articulate credit decisions both verbally and in writing to all stakeholders Flexible to work extended hours during high volume periods Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs Nice-to-have Private Banking, Small Business or Commercial experience What’s in it for you?
