Job Title: Senior Full Stack Developer
Location Address: Downtown Toronto Hybrid: 3 days in-office Anchor days: Flexible Contract Duration: 07/30/2026 to 03/30/2027 Possibility of extension: Yes, based on performance and business needs Conversion to FTE: May be, based on performance and business needs Number of Positions: 2 Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week. Typical Day in Role:
Full Stack Development • Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using:
- ReactJS
- TypeScript
- NodeJS
- ExpressJS • Build reusable UI components and scalable frontend architectures. • Develop RESTful APIs and backend services supporting high-volume customer interactions. • Implement secure, scalable, and maintainable enterprise application designs.
System Architecture & Scalability • Design systems capable of supporting:
- Millions of users
- High concurrent traffic volumes
- Mission-critical banking workloads • Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and reliability. • Implement caching, load balancing, asynchronous processing, and event-driven architectures. • Participate in architectural reviews and technical design sessions.
Cloud & Platform Engineering • Design and deploy applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). • Leverage cloud-native services, containerization, and orchestration platforms. • Implement infrastructure automation and deployment best practices. • Work closely with platform and DevOps teams to improve operational maturity.
DevOps & CI/CD • Build and maintain enterprise deployment pipelines. • Implement automated:
- Build processes
- Unit tests
- Integration tests
- Security scanning
- Deployment workflows • Deploy applications through enterprise CI/CD toolchains. • Support production releases and environment promotion strategies.
Operational Excellence • Monitor application health and performance. • Implement logging, tracing, and observability solutions. • Participate in production support and incident management. • Conduct root cause analysis and continuously improve system reliability.
Collaboration & Leadership • Work within Agile/Scrum teams. • Partner with Product Owners, Architects, Security, Infrastructure, and Business stakeholders. • Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices. • Contribute to technical standards, design reviews, and architecture governance. Must have skills: • 10+ years of software development experience. • 5+ years of Full Stack development experience. • 5+ years of ReactJS development experience. • 5+ years of NodeJS development experience. • 5+ years of recent experience with REST APIs • 5+ years of JavaScript and TypeScript development experience. • 5+ years of experience with Microservices. Nice to have: • Event Streaming (Kafka, Pub/Sub) • Micro-Frontend Architecture experience is highly preferred • Platform Engineering is nice to have • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) • Recent experience with top Banks / FI is highly preferred. • Previous experience with GCP is nice have Best VS. Average Candidate: Seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer with deep expertise in ReactJS, NodeJS, and modern cloud-native architectures to build and operate highly scalable digital banking platforms. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience developing customer-facing applications that support large user populations, high transaction volumes, and enterprise-grade availability requirements.
This role requires a strong engineering mindset, experience with modern software delivery practices, and the ability to design, build, deploy, and support applications running in cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Experience in Banking, FinTech, Payments, Digital Onboarding, Wealth, Lending, or Financial Services is highly preferred.
