About the Team & Project The Alternate Solutions Group (ASG) supports multiple applications focused on cross-border payments and multi-currency transactions. The team enables customers to transact in local currencies while settling in currencies such as CAD, USD, AUD, and NZD across global markets. In this role, you will be a key player in the International Student Payments (ISP) project, an initiative supporting global tuition payments that allow students and families to pay in their local currency. You will enjoy cross-functional exposure to capital markets, global cross-border payment solutions, and the ability to move between multiple applications and products.
Core Responsibilities As a Sr. Business Analyst in the Project Delivery, Modernization, and Enablement team, you will provide high-impact analysis and thought leadership on strategic projects and programs. You will be responsible for: End-to-End Delivery: Managing work packages, analyzing deliverables, and engaging stakeholders. Documentation & Analysis: Formulating target states, building roadmaps, and presenting detailed business requirements and process flows. Decision Support: Leading activities to help internal partners make informed decisions related to scope, requirements, technology, costs, and scheduling. Project Leadership: Proactively identifying risks, tracking milestones, and balancing budget, time, and risk. Clear Communication: Developing compelling presentation materials to support working team discussions and maintaining detailed project plans, risk logs, and action items.
Must-Have Qualifications To be successful in this role, you must possess the following: Business Analyst Experience: 5+ years of experience defining and reengineering processes, documenting business requirements, and formulating test plans. Payments Domain Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on background working on payments (cards, wires, Interac, cross-border). Payment Flows Understanding: Strong understanding of end-to-end payment flows and customer journeys. Data & Analytics Skills: 2+ years of experience working with SQL and Power BI Reporting (tables, reference data, edge reporting). Jira Proficiency: 5+ years of experience using Jira. Exceptional Communication: Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to gain commitment, support desired objectives, and deliver project artifacts.
Nice-to-Have Skills Previous banking experience. Specific experience with Payment Rails. Knowledge of Financial systems, front-office/back-office operations, or Capital Markets/Trading Investment platforms. Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Experience with Data Bricks.
