Role Description The Business Development Consultant will support Zaks & Co. in identifying, evaluating, and growing new business opportunities across its investment portfolio. This contract role is fully remote and involves daily collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop pipelines, nurture leads, and shape go-to-market strategies. Typical responsibilities include researching target markets, conducting outreach to prospective partners or clients, and preparing materials such as pitch decks, proposals, and business cases. The consultant will analyze performance data, refine business plans, and recommend actions that improve deal flow and asset growth. The role also requires proactive communication, participation in virtual meetings, and consistent documentation of activities and outcomes. Qualifications Business development skills, including New Business Development and Lead Generation, with a track record of building and managing opportunity pipelines. Consulting and Business Planning skills to assess opportunities, structure initiatives, and develop practical strategies and financial projections. Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, for stakeholder engagement, presentations, and collaborative problem-solving. Experience in remote, contract-based work with the ability to manage time, priorities, and deliverables independently. Analytical and research capabilities to evaluate markets, competitors, and potential partners. Familiarity with CRM tools, productivity platforms, and virtual collaboration software. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Background in startups, venture investing, or growth-stage companies is highly beneficial.
