To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What you'll be doing As a member of CIBC’s team, the Senior Manager, Product Development and Delivery is a seasoned technology delivery leader responsible for overseeing complex projects and a portfolio of initiatives in a matrixed environment. This role provides day-to-day leadership, guidance, and governance oversight to project managers, ensuring consistent execution, adherence to project control procedures, and alignment with Technology’s delivery standards. Working with minimal direction, the Senior Manager applies deep project delivery expertise to drive planning, reporting, risk management, financial discipline, stakeholder engagement, and successful implementation across initiatives. The role also builds strong relationships with business partners, senior leaders, delivery teams, vendors, and external stakeholders, providing clear status updates, executive-level reporting, and timely escalation of risks, issues, scope changes, and timeline constraints. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 day per week on-site, while other days will be remote. How you'll succeed Delivery Oversight – Provide leadership across multiple initiatives, ensuring project managers establish clear goals, scope, terms of reference, resource plans, budgets, milestones, and delivery plans. Monitor progress across the portfolio and ensure projects remain aligned to business priorities, delivery standards, and stakeholder expectations. Stakeholder Collaboration – Partner with business, technology, operations, risk, and client-facing stakeholders to support informed decisions and successful delivery outcomes. Facilitate alignment across teams, negotiate priorities, manage dependencies, and ensure stakeholders have a clear voice throughout the delivery lifecycle. Governance, Risk, and Financial Discipline – Proactively identify risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery constraints, and drive timely mitigation or escalation. Monitor project milestones, budgets, forecasts, resource plans, and financials to ensure initiatives are delivered within approved scope, timelines, and funding expectations. People Leadership – Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of project managers and delivery professionals. Provide guidance on delivery best practices, governance expectations, issue resolution, stakeholder management, and professional growth while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Relationship, Vendor, and Executive Management – Build trusted relationships with clients, business partners, application owners, vendors, and senior leaders. Prepare clear executive-level updates, decision materials, and escalation summaries, and work across internal and external teams to resolve delivery risks and support successful implementation of technology solutions. Who you are You can demonstrate experience with 5–8 years of project delivery or project management experience, ideally within the financial services or technology industry. You have led cross-portfolio initiatives in a matrixed environment and have experience overseeing project managers or delivery teams. You bring strong knowledge of waterfall and agile methodologies, the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC), project governance, risk management, financial tracking, and delivery reporting. You have experience with project management and issue management tools such as Planview, ServiceNow, and JIRA. It is an asset if you have experience with payment network initiatives, including Visa, Mastercard, merchant acquiring, card services, or related financial technology programs, standards, and stakeholder engagement. It's an asset if you are Bilingual (French OR Spanish) You have a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Business, Technology, or a related field. Project management certification or equivalent delivery leadership experience is an asset. You are a bold and authentic leader.
