Relationship Manager In Training - Regional Markets (Grande Prairie)
About the role
At ATB, we exist to make it possible for our clients, team members and communities. Our purpose is more than aspirational. It's a real commitment we live every day through our values (what we call the ATB ID).
About
Life at ATB is about more than work. In fact, we’re consistently recognized as one of Canada's top employers thanks to our high-care, high-performance culture, upheld by the three commitments we make to our team members:
Impact in action: No matter where you are in the organization, you're empowered to make an impact in the lives of our clients and communities.
Thrive together: We want you—the unique, authentic you—to feel safe and celebrated at work. We're on a continuous journey to build the most flexible and inclusive programs.
Ready for tomorrow: We want to enable your success through interesting and challenging work, performance enablement, and learning and development.
About The Role
Reporting to the Director, this unique rotational program is designed to build the next generation of elite Relationship Managers (RM) for our Regional Markets Team. At ATB, leadership is our profession, and as a participant in this program, you will develop the vital skills required to champion our Path to 2030 strategy, putting clients at the center of everything we do.
What sets this opportunity apart is its foundational approach: you will spend your first 18 months fully embedded within our Central Underwriting team. During this intensive first phase, you will master the art of credit structuring, risk assessment, and financial analysis alongside senior underwriters. By deeply understanding the mechanics of how deals get approved, you will transition into your permanent Regional RM role equipped with unparalleled technical expertise.
Once in the market, you will lead, manage, retain, and grow a dedicated portfolio of ATB Business customers. You will leverage your strong credit background to proactively identify opportunities, structure complex deals efficiently, and act as a deeply trusted advisor who models self-awareness and understands where our rural clients are, where they came from, and where they are going.
