Senior Manager, Key Segments Strategy, Home Equity Finance

Job Description What is the opportunity? RBC Home Equity Financing (HEF) is the leading lender of residential mortgages in Canada and RBC’s single largest business with well over $400 Billion in assets. To continue to grow and maintain our leadership position will require a strong commitment to acquisition, innovation, client retention, an effective use of multiple distribution channels, and finally a significant focus on portfolio optimization and cost reduction. The Senior Manager, Key Segments Strategy, HEF is responsible to drive growth in key client segments. This role will support the development of comprehensive strategies, work with partners across RBC and execute tactics to grow RBC’s mortgage share by ensuring we are earning and attracting more than our fair share of our client’s mortgage business in Canada. What will you do? Strategy Development Support the development of end to end client segment personas using data and insights to drive approach, hypothesis and strategies. Paper forward-looking strategies and plans that leverage a deep understanding of data, and internal/external factors to ensure mortgage growth in key client segments. Develop a roadmap of tactics across key segments for both immediate and longer term execution. Assess competitiveness of RBC offerings within segments and market position. Develop and implement strategies to expand where required Execution Execution excellence of strategies and tactics to achieve goals and performance success measures. Champion segment and advisor feedback to make adjustments as needed. Carry out strategies and plans to execution to ensure key initiatives are delivered and adjusted to meet changing market and business conditions, and consider risk/ reward trade-offs. Ongoing monitoring and analysis of key segment performance. Collaboration Collaborate closely with cross-functional teammates (product, policy, CXDI, GRM, other LOBs, segment owners, HEF GTM team, retail enablement, etc ) to bring high-impact changes to life from concept to launch. Works with product and policy team to assess risks and recommends policy changes. Lead sessions and updates with various stakeholders and executives, as appropriate. What do you need to succeed? Must-have: Proven data driven decision-making with strong analytical skills. Very experienced in analyzing key performance data, and using these insights to inform decisions and strategy. Exceptional ability to weave compelling narratives about the vision, and strategy. You can articulate complex ideas clearly and with passion to diverse audiences, influence stakeholders, and build strong relationships across the multiple stakeholders. Exceptional business acumen and prioritization to focus on most impactful opportunities Proven ability to deal with ambiguity, complexity and charting a new path forward Exceptional communication and stakeholder management. Proven strategy development within a Line of Business Nice to have: Prior experience in mortgage or credit related businesses What’s in it for you?
