About the role

Job Description What is the opportunity? The TLM Support Manager is responsible for enterprise-wide reconciliation transformation initiatives as a Senior Business Analyst, leveraging 6+ years of hands-on expertise with SmartStream Transaction Lifecycle Management (TLM) platform. In this strategic role, you will drive transformational End-to-End reconciliation implementations across RBC’s business units, combining advanced business analysis, process management, and business intelligence capabilities. You will architect scalable reconciliation solutions that fundamentally reshape financial operations, optimize financial controls, reduce operational costs, and align with Finance Shared Services strategic objectives. Your deep technical and business knowledge—spanning data sourcing, reconciliation workflows, data migration, UAT, post-implementation validation, and regulatory compliance—will directly impact RBC’s financial operations transformation at enterprise scale. What You’ll Do Lead transformational business initiatives across assigned business units, designing comprehensive future-state reconciliation solutions that significantly reduce operating costs and strengthen financial, internal, and operational controls Drive organizational change management by partnering with cross-functional teams, business units, operations teams, and global process service partners to reimagine current-state reconciliation processes and deliver transformational outcomes Establish centers of excellence and best practices for reconciliation across the enterprise, building organizational capability and embedding sustainable change Conduct advanced business analysis and requirements elicitation, translating complex business needs into enterprise reconciliation solutions that support Finance Shared Services scaling and strategic growth Lead strategic stakeholder alignment initiatives, balancing competing needs of business, end-users, and technical stakeholders while championing organizational transformation Design and optimize reconciliation processes across multiple scenarios (GL to Source System, Sub-ledger, NTZ Intragroup, cash, asset recs, n-way reconciliations) Leverage reconciliation product expertise to optimize SmartStream TLM platform configurations, drive best practices implementation, and accelerate time-to-value for new onboarding initiatives Develop enterprise-grade project documentation aligned with RBC Agile/PMF standards, including EPICs, User Stories, detailed process flows, comprehensive UAT plans, PRD cut-over strategies, and RTB hand-over documentation Architect Financial Information Business Rules (FiBRS) and Static Data configurations for complex onboarding/off-boarding scenarios Provide technical leadership in data transformation design, including ETL process optimization (Datastage, Monarch, Apache Airflow, Python) and advanced reporting solutions What You Need to Succeed Must Have: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional qualification 6+ years of business analysis experience delivering large-scale initiatives, with demonstrated expertise in requirements elicitation and management, enterprise analysis, requirements analysis, and solution assessment and validation Deep understanding of reconciliation processes, including GL matching, exception management, cash reconciliation, balance reconciliation, suspense account management, sub-ledger reconciliation, and multi-way reconciliation scenarios in domestic banking, international banking, or insurance environments 3+ years of specialized experience leading end-to-end financial services transformation initiatives, including requirement gathering, solution derivation, operational support during transitions, and production deployments Proven ability to work independently with minimal support, deriving solutions and driving initiatives to completion while collaborating effectively between operations and IT partners Critical and strategic thinking capabilities to analyze complex business challenges and develop innovative, solution-driven approaches Demonstrated expertise translating complex financial services requirements into actionable technical solutions, with strong business acumen and source-to-target data mapping expertise Proficiency in gap analysis for current state versus future state assessments and source-to-target data mapping Enterprise-level delivery experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives with demonstrated collaboration across CTB, RTB, and Operations teams Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through business transformations with strong stakeholder engagement and change management capabilities Flexibility to support occasional weekend availability for system go-lives and production cutover events Nice to Have Proficiency with SmartStream TLM Platform for GL-to-source system reconciliation, sub-ledger matching, and n-way reconciliation scenarios Canadian or Caribbean banking experience in personal and commercial banking Knowledge of GL attestation policies, reconciliation workflows, and PEGA Attestation Workflow platforms Understanding of trade lifecycle management and Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles Experience with ETL technologies such as Datastage, Monarch, Apache Airflow, or Python Proficiency with Tableau for reporting and data visualization UAT testing and production release support experience Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence for project
