However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well. About the role We’re looking for an Claims Adjuster to join our growing Commercial Property team! As a Commercial Property Claims Adjuster, you will support customers who have experienced damage or loss to their commercial property by guiding them through the claims process from first notice to resolution. You will coordinate with vendors, independent adjusters, and subject-matter experts to investigate, evaluate, and settle claims efficiently and accurately. Success in this role requires empathy, strong listening and communication skills, sound business judgment, and excellent organization to manage multiple commercial property claims through to completion. What you'll do here: Analyze information gathered, interpret insurance policy wordings, determine coverage, and assess damage Develop an action plan to ensure all aspects of the claim are addressed Manage all financial components of the claim, including setting reserves and ensuring prompt and equitable settlements in line with Intact’s policies and standards Ensure clear and concise information and direction is provided to vendors Work with experts including appraisers, engineers and others to help drive progress throughout the claim Provide a superior quality of customer service to external and internal customers, and answer queries relating to the claims process Keep up to date on Intact’s insurance products, appraisal and investigation techniques, and service What you bring to the table: Minimum 5 years of experience in Insurance Adjusting. Commercial adjusting experience is considered an asset.
