Registered Plans Associate How does the role impact the organization?

The Registered Plans Associate plays a critical role in supporting the administration and integrity of registered investment accounts across the firm. This position is responsible for executing and troubleshooting transactions, ensuring compliance with CRA and regulatory requirements, and delivering timely, accurate support to Financial Advisors and internal partners. What will your role be responsible for? The administration of a wide variety of tasks involving registered plans products. This will include, but not limited to, processing transactions in registered plans (RRSPs, RESPs, TFSAs, LIRAs and FHSAs); Processing of contributions, de-registrations, un-locking, withholding tax submissions, trustee wires and non-qualified tax assessments; Providing support individually or in conjunction with other team members in investigating and resolving advisor queries within SLA deadlines. Partner with Tax, Estates, Transfers, and New Accounts teams to resolve complex RRIF cases Support year-end processing, including minimum withdrawal reviews and reconciliations Participate in audits, regulatory reviews, and procedural updates related to RRIF processing Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce risk, and enhance service delivery Other duties as assigned. What do we expect from you? Fundamental knowledge of investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry. Financial industry experience, preferably in Operations or Registered Plans; Proficient in Microsoft Office with a willingness and ability to learn new applications; Excellent Customer service, organization, and prioritization skills The ability to work within deadlines in a high-volume and demanding environment while maintaining a high level of service and an imperative attention to detail; Demonstrate email, videoconferencing, and telephone etiquette and relationship management skills; Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment; Demonstrate a professional manner to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization; Exercise tact and discretion in the handling of confidential information; and Experience with Dataphile is an asset. Educational/Previous Experience Requirements A minimum of 2 years of financial industry or related administrative experience; and Demonstrated knowledge of registered plans (RRSP, TFSA, RRIF, RESP, and locked-in plans) and associated regulatory and tax considerations, including contribution limits, withdrawal rules, and reporting requirements, Demonstrated experience managing high-volume transactional with a focus on accuracy and turnaround times

Licenses/Certifications Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course is an asset. Salary Range: $58,000 - 62,000 annually, in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, internal equity, and other job requirements.
