 The opportunity   As a Transactions Senior Manager, you will be a professional member of our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team. FAAS operates principally through 4 main pillars: Enhanced Corporate Reporting & Accounting, Finance Optimization, Treasury Management and Transactions Advisory. We understand the evolving role of the CFO and the Finance function, and work with our clients to automate and streamline efficiency, control, and compliance functions, while simultaneously improving the value Finance provides to the organization. Together with our substantial investments in technology, knowledge, and learning resources available to our advisory professionals, you will be part of the team that delivers fit for purpose financial advisory services to our clients and their stakeholders.   This job posting relates to an existing vacancy within our organization. Your key responsibilities   As a Transactions Senior Manager, you will actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships in order to establish and maintain a robust business development funnel for our Transactions service pillar. You will help to develop and expand long-term client relationships and networks, as well as develop relationships with team members across all EY practices to service client needs. By drawing on your relationship building skills, project management, and financial knowledge and experience, you will provide innovative commercial insights for clients by adapting proven industry delivery methods and practices to meet clients’ organizational needs focused on Initial Public Offerings (IPO), acquisitions and divestitures. You will actively contribute to improving transaction readiness, operational and reporting efficiency, and effective decision making. A majority of your time will be spent supporting local business development activities and client engagement teams, working with a wide variety of clients, across multiple sectors, to deliver professional services.    Skills and attributes for success   Client responsibilities

Lead external client consulting engagements involving the advancement of the CFO agenda, in at least one of our service offerings  The ability to develop relationships and rapidly build credibility and trust  Lead business development initiatives, including service offering development and roll-out, proposal development, responding to RFX’s and participating in oral presentations  Staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business and local industries  Be seen, or be on the path to be seen, as a subject matter advisor in at least one of our service offerings 

People Management responsibilities

Build strong internal relationships within our national and global FAAS practice and across EY’s service lines including Advisory, Tax and Transactions.  Prioritize the development of people through effective coaching, constructive on-the-job feedback and mentoring  Foster an innovative, motivated, and inclusive team-oriented work environment  Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff  Lead/contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining, and training  Understand, follow, and lead by example as it relates to workplace policies and procedures 

  What we look for:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or data management/analysis  An accounting designation (CPA or equivalent)  At least 7 to 10 years of professional experience  Knowledge of key corporate business processes (e.g., Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Record to Report, Plan to Perform, Acquire to Retire, etc.) Facilitating workshops and leading client interviews  Basic proficiency in at least one ERP system (e.g., Microsoft Business Central or D365), SAP S4/HANA, Oracle, NetSuite, etc., and/or one EPM tool such as OneStream, Tagetik, Anaplan, Adaptive, Blackline, etc.  Experience in financial accounting or audit, financial analysis, process optimization/documentation, or as a controller  Experience using MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.  Demonstrated record of driving revenue within existing accounts and in developing new prospects at the “C” level of large organizations  Experience in leading and delivering Finance transformation program/projects that cover the full life cycle of assessment, design and implementation support

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to think critically and identify creative solutions outside of the box and thrive on new challenges  Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation  A high level of motivation and a self-starting attitude, able to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic team-oriented environment  A willingness to travel on short notice to meet client needs  Highly adaptable and open to change  Integrity within a professional environment
