Role Description The Accounting Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Georgetown, ON, supporting the financial operations across multiple Kuthala Group divisions. This role includes preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, posting journal entries, and assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. The Accounting Specialist will reconcile accounts, review transactions, and ensure compliance with internal controls and relevant accounting standards. Day-to-day responsibilities also include working with accounting software, supporting budgeting and reporting activities, responding to internal inquiries, and collaborating with operations and management teams to provide timely financial insights. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements and supporting financial reporting. Candidates should possess experience working with Accounting Software and related digital tools in a professional environment. Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Finance concepts and cash flow management to support multi-division operations. Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify variances, and support decision-making. Candidates should possess hands-on experience with Journal Entries (Accounting), reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Relevant diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA candidate) is an asset. Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools; ability to work with high volumes of transactional data with attention to detail. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Previous experience in transportation, logistics, equipment, or related industries is an advantage.
