Requisition ID: 264148 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.  As part of the Global Finance Strategic alignment with the new all bank strategy, the Senior Manager, Model Design and Governance is responsible for supporting solution design as part of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) modernization program and enterprise-wide implementation of Anaplan. The Senior Manager contributes to the overall success of Global Finance in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are following governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.   Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

Play a leading role in reimagining how planning, forecasting, and performance management are done across the bank. Partner directly with Finance teams to design the processes, models, and capabilities that will define the future operating model for FP&A. Develop a deep understanding of business lines, their unique financial drivers, and the decisions that shape performance. Lead end-to-end FP&A process solutioning, shaping how business processes come to life through Anaplan. Translate business and finance needs into clear, structured Anaplan models, data designs, and calculation logic. Establish design standards, governance frameworks, and documentation that bring consistency, transparency, and scalability across use cases Collaborate with stakeholders to navigate trade-offs, align on decisions, and move solutions forward with clarity and confidence Develop expertise in solution design, stakeholder influence, and transformation leadership while tackling complex business challenges and driving meaningful change. Implement and manage the Financial Management Information requirements for all business lines, ensuring the development of operational and technical solutions that offer value-added and insightful information with an enterprise-wide view. Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.   Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?  We’d love to work with you if you have:  

3+ years experience in FP&A. Financial modeling / scenario building Ability to gather, understand, and action business requirements. Well developed planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Anaplan or similar system deployment experience an asset. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team. Ability to build relationships across the Bank and with external vendors. Well developed presentation and written communication skills. Excellent knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
