You Are

UST is seeking an experienced Senior Asset Servicing Analyst to support a leading Canadian financial institution's Capital Markets Operations function. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in Corporate Actions, Asset Servicing, Securities Operations, and Capital Markets processing who thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

The Opportunity

Create and maintain Asset Servicing events within proprietary platforms and operational systems. Perform daily processing, validation, reconciliation, and monitoring of Corporate Action events. Manage corporate action events throughout the complete lifecycle, from announcement through settlement. Serve as the primary lead for proxy-related activities, including voting submissions and shareholder reporting. Investigate, escalate, and resolve corporate action exceptions while meeting critical market and client deadlines. Process ad-hoc bond conversion requests, including 144A and Reg S securities. Work with external brokers, custodians, and market participants to process events on repo and securities lending positions and support claims management. Respond to internal and external stakeholder inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Support daily operational controls, production activities, and service delivery objectives. Maintain comprehensive documentation to support regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements. Identify opportunities to improve Straight Through Processing (STP) and drive operational efficiency through automation. Partner with technology teams to enhance, implement, and optimize systems and workflows. Provide feedback regarding vendor and custodian performance. Contribute to process improvement and transformation initiatives that enhance scalability, control effectiveness, and operational efficiency.

What You Need

5+ years of experience in Asset Servicing, Corporate Actions, or Securities Operations. Strong knowledge of corporate action processing across fixed income and other securities products. Experience working with DTC, Euroclear, and global market settlement and custody environments. Understanding of: New bond issuances Interest and principal calculations Fixed and floating rate securities Calls, maturities, conversions, and consent events Bankruptcies, defaults, and liquidations Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a disciplined approach to risk management. Proven ability to manage competing priorities within a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including functions such as VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and Macros. Demonstrated ownership mindset with strong attention to detail and operational control. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Broadridge NAPE. Experience supporting proxy services and global corporate action events. Exposure to automation, workflow optimization, or operational transformation initiatives. Understanding of industry best practices for Asset Servicing and Capital Markets Operations.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Hybrid-Ontario

Compensation Range: $104,000-$130,000

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year). They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.

Part-time regular and temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All Canadian employees who work in a province, territory or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
