Business Analyst II (Middle Office trade support)
About the role
Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private clients, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking. Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Business Analyst II to join our client in support of an existing vacancy. Contract Period: 12 months Potential to extend or convert Pay Rate: Starting from $38 per hour Location: Toronto, ON Location Type: Hybrid Business Hours: Monday-Friday; 7 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 6 PM ( Must be available for either shift but the majority of the working hours is 7am to 4pm ) Job Responsibilities: Provide middle office trade support across allocation, reconciliation, and inventory balancing functions Ensure accurate trade capture, matching, and settlement readiness for equities and derivatives flows Act as key control point between Front Office, clients, custodians, and clearing/depository platforms (CDS/DTC) Focus on break resolution, risk mitigation (fails/capital), and regulatory timelines (T+1 lifecycle) Perform block and step-out allocations across client and internal accounts Monitor and resolve exceptions in CTM / matching platforms Validate trade economics vs OMS / street records Manage DKs, unmatched and unaffirmed trades Ensure T+1 allocation / affirmation compliance
Experience & Qualification Requirements: University degree in STEM required 3 years of Middle office experience 3 years of Capital markets experience Books and records system ( similar ISM - IBM ) SOPHIS - FIDESSA - CTM - CDS- DTC Excel - Use and maintain VBA CSI courses with specific tieback to Equities
