About the Role Davidson is seeking a Manager to join our Audit, Tax and Private Enterprise practice. In this role, you would be responsible for overseeing multiple client engagements, managing teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, timely services. You act as a key liaison between clients and the firm, contribute to strategic planning and process improvement, and support business development efforts. You’ll work with clients across industries such as real estate and construction, as well as community services and NPO’s. This role also plays a critical part in mentoring team members, fostering a collaborative team environment, and strengthening long-term client relationships. What You’ll Be Doing No two days look the same, but your core responsibilities will include: Plan, coordinate, and review audit, tax, and advisory engagements, ensuring timely delivery, compliance with standards, and effective risk management Act as the main point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships through proactive communication and identifying opportunities to add value. Lead and support the growth of Senior Accountants and CPA students, providing coaching and technical guidance. Lead internal training sessions and contribute to performance management and team development initiatives. Provide guidance on complex accounting, tax, and assurance matters, staying up to date with evolving standards and reviewing high-risk files before Partner sign-off. Support budgeting and resource planning while contributing to firm-wide initiatives such as process improvements, technology integration, and business development. Support business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations. What You’ll Bring You’re more than your credentials—you’re collaborative, detail-oriented, and ready to grow. Ideally, you bring: Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, tax, or audit. Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration CPA designation Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, tax, or audit Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and QuickBooks Online Strong knowledge of Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS) and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and IFRS. Strong understanding of business, accounting, and management principles. Experience leading teams, coaching junior staff, and managing client relationships. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients professionally. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. What’s in It for You? Let’s Talk Numbers We believe in transparency and fairness. The annual base salary range for this role is $95,000–$125,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
