Develop strong relationships with your Rehabilitation Specialist team, as well as with broader teams across the Disability and Rehabilitation department. Support the coordination of your team’s workload objectives.

Your responsibilities will increase to:

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing rehabilitation services team focused on service excellence and member outcomes. Oversee rehabilitation programs, case management practices, and departmental operations to ensure effective, compliant service delivery. Manage staffing, performance, budgets, and resources to achieve departmental goals. Provide leadership on complex cases, risk management, and escalated issues. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the development of best practices. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance strategic priorities and enhance service delivery.

Qualifications for Your Success:

Experience & Education

Completion of a relevant post-secondary degree such as: Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Social worker or Baccalaureate of Nursing. A minimum of ten years of experience in a senior disability claims management role with experience managing staff. Current registration in good standing with the relevant professional college, if applicable.

  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Competencies & Skills

Extensive knowledge of disability management, rehabilitation services, group LTD plans, and policy interpretation. Strong leadership skills with experience coaching, developing, and motivating teams. Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder relationship management abilities. Sound analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to lead change, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a complex environment. Commitment to service excellence, continuous improvement, and organizational success.

Why join our team?

The work you do will be challenging and rewarding. You will make a difference in our day-to-day operations and your initiative will be appreciated.

We offer:

Flexible work with a compressed work week for your work/life balance. Comprehensive compensation and benefits including a defined benefit pension plan. Professional development opportunities.
