Role Description: The Senior Investor Relations Manager is a full-time, role based in Canada. This role is responsible for leading IR program planning and execution for client companies, including developing key messages, preparing investor presentations, and drafting earnings releases, MD&A content, and other capital markets communications. The individual will monitor capital markets activity, analyze peer and sector performance, and provide strategic recommendations to client management teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing relationships with investors, analysts, and brokers, coordinating roadshows and investor events, and supporting quarterly and annual disclosure activities. The Senior Investor Relations Manager will also collaborate closely with internal colleagues to ensure consistent, compliant, and high-impact communication across all investor touchpoints.
Responsibilities Draft and edit investor communications, including presentations, news releases, scripts, fact sheets, website and social media content, etc. Lead the process for earnings releases, technical report results (MRE, economic studies), etc. Lead and ensure timely content updates and ongoing maintenance of client websites. Manage the distribution of press releases and other materials through a newswire service. Ensure technical and financial information is consistent and accurate across all communication channels and adheres to timely disclosure rules and other section requirements (i.e. NI 43-101). Research and assess best practices related to investor relations and communications, making recommendations to enhance materials. Coordinate and execute global investor events, including conferences, non deal roadshows, quarterly results conference calls and webcasts, technical updates, investor days, and mine tours. Manage event logistics, including scheduling, travel arrangements, and material distribution. Maintain and update the IR CRM, distribution lists, and contact databases. Other client duties as needed.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, communications, economics, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience in investor relations. Experience in mining, natural resources, industrials, or capital markets is an asset. Strong written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and operate in a fast-paced environment. Professional presence and comfort interacting with senior executives across departments and external stakeholders. High proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word; familiarity with CRM/IR software an asset. Familiarity with public company disclosure requirements, earnings cycles, and investor communications best practices is preferred. Knowledge of digital design, AI, and social media platforms. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial and operational information are preferred.
