We are now prioritising the appointment of Board Members who can materially strengthen Churchill’s access to large-scale capital. The immediate requirement is for individuals with a proven ability to raise, arrange, introduce or influence funding in the region of $100 million and above, particularly through family offices, private equity, sovereign wealth funds, direct lenders, institutional investors and other pools of significant dry powder. Our aim is to secure $2 billion of committed capital as our deal pipeline continues to grow.
The Role We are seeking exceptional Board Members / Strategic Capital Partners to join Churchill Partners and, where appropriate, the boards of acquired portfolio businesses. This is not a passive non-executive appointment. The role is intended for senior individuals who can actively help Churchill become capital-ready and transaction-ready for acquisitions requiring substantial equity and/or debt funding.
Board Members will be expected to provide strategic judgement, credibility and practical introductions that can translate into investor engagement, proof of funds, indicative terms, co-investment interest, debt financing or other acquisition funding support.
Current Priority: Capital Raising & Funding Access Churchill’s immediate priority is to build a focused group of Board Members with deep capital networks and demonstrable fundraising experience. Ideal candidates will have personally raised, arranged, advised on, committed or influenced institutional-scale capital in one or more transaction settings. Proven track record raising or arranging funding of $100m+ for acquisitions, growth capital, private equity, real assets, infrastructure, credit, special situations or corporate finance transactions. Direct relationships with family offices, private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds, investment holding companies, direct lenders, private credit funds, banks, institutional investors or strategic investors. Ability to open senior-level doors and progress conversations beyond introductions into credible funding discussions, investor diligence, term sheets or soft commitments. Experience working with, advising, investing alongside or holding senior relationships within sovereign wealth funds or government-backed investment platforms would be highly attractive. Understanding of acquisition finance, equity syndication, co-investment structures, leverage, SPV structures and investor/lender expectations.
Key Responsibilities Introduce Churchill to credible capital providers with capacity to fund acquisitions or co-invest alongside Churchill on a deal-by-deal basis. Support the Chairman and transaction team in developing capital strategies for acquisition opportunities, including equity, debt, seller rollover and co-investment structures. Provide strategic input on M&A transactions, valuations, funding architecture, lender appetite and investor positioning. Assist in preparing Churchill for investor and lender engagement, including feedback on teasers, investment materials, proof-of-funds requirements and diligence expectations. Support deal origination, market access and strategic introductions where relevant. Join selected acquisition project teams where the Board Member’s network, credibility or sector expertise is directly relevant. Serve, where appropriate, as an executive or non-executive board member of an acquired business post-completion. Act as an ambassador for Churchill Partners in relevant capital, corporate and investor markets.
Who We Are Looking For We are targeting individuals with senior-level credibility and the ability to move capital conversations at speed. Suitable profiles may include: Former or current senior executives, Chairs, CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, investment committee members or board directors. Individuals with backgrounds in private equity, investment banking, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, direct lending, private credit, asset management, corporate finance or institutional fundraising. Senior advisers, principals or operating partners who have built trusted relationships with capital allocators and can make high-quality introductions. Individuals who have built, scaled, acquired, financed or exited businesses and understand what investors and lenders need before backing a transaction. Sector leaders with networks across energy infrastructure, industrial services, healthcare, technology, financial services, B2B services or other cash-generative mid-market sectors.
Essential Requirements Demonstrable experience raising, arranging, advising on or influencing funding of $100 million or more. A credible network of capital providers with real decision-making capacity, not only intermediary-level contacts. Strong reputation, judgement and discretion when representing Churchill Partners externally. Ability to engage on a deal-by-deal basis and contribute quickly when an acquisition opportunity requires capital support. Comfortable operating in a high-trust, entrepreneurial and execution-focused environment.
Highly Desirable Experience Current or former association with sovereign wealth funds, government investment entities, royal family offices, large family offices, institutional investors or major private equity platforms. Experience in cross-border acquisition financing across the GCC, UK, Europe, North America or Asia. Relationships with private credit providers, direct lenders, banks or structured capital providers capable of supporting leveraged acquisitions. Experience helping a platform company or sponsor build a repeatable capital base, soft equity alignment or lender network before LOI stage.
Engagement Model Churchill operates a focused, deal-by-deal Board activation model. For each acquisition opportunity, the Chairman will typically call upon 3-4 Board Members / Partners whose experience, networks and credibility are most relevant to that transaction. This keeps decision-making fast while allowing Churchill to run multiple deals in parallel. Board Members may be engaged for capital introductions, transaction advice, diligence support, investor/lender positioning and post-acquisition governance. Material contributors may be invited to join the board of the acquired business following completion. Where a Board Member plays a vital role in securing financing or enabling completion, Churchill may consider equity participation in the relevant acquired business or SPV, subject to agreement and contribution.
Remuneration Equity participation where the Board Member makes a material contribution to securing acquisition finance, investor commitments or strategic capital. Deal completion bonus; board appointment or agreed engagement scope. Structured as daily rates, annual board fees or deal-linked remuneration depending on involvement. Competitive and aligned with senior market expectations and measurable contribution.
Why Join Churchill Partners Join a founding Board/Partner group shaping an acquisition platform from inception. Help build a serious capital base for acquisitions requiring $100 million+ funding capacity. Gain exposure to multiple acquisition opportunities rather than a single operating company. Work alongside senior executives, operators, investors and advisers across key international markets. Participate in a flexible, deal-driven highly rewarding model with potential for long-term portfolio involvement as Churchill scales into a PE-style platform.
