Position Overview: Forum Asset Management is looking for a Data Engineer Intern to help build and scale Forum’s enterprise data platform using modern cloud technologies.
You’ll work on ingesting, transforming, and organizing data from a variety of sources to support analytics, reporting, and AI-driven initiatives. This role is ideal for someone interested in the full data lifecycle - from raw data to business insights. This is a hands-on, in-office role with exposure to real-world data challenges in investment management and real estate. This posting is for an existing vacancy at Forum.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines (ETL/ELT) Ingest and clean data from internal and external sources Support development of data models and structured datasets Work with Azure tools such as Data Factory, Synapse, or Fabric Help optimize data workflows for performance and reliability Collaborate with software developers and business teams on data needs
Candidate Profile: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field Proficiency in Python and/or SQL Understanding of data structures and basic data modeling concepts Interest in data engineering, analytics, or big data systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have: Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred) Familiarity with ETL pipelines or data processing tools Interest in AI/ML or working with large datasets
