About the Company Our client is private equity–backed manufacturing company. They are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will be responsible for supporting strategic financial planning and business performance by analyzing financial data, developing forecasting and costing models, and providing insights to drive decision-making. Partner with cross-functional teams to monitor KPIs, prepare executive-level reports, conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses, and identify business risks and opportunities. Lead process improvement initiatives by standardizing reporting, enhancing data integrity, automating reporting processes, and developing standard operating procedures to improve operational efficiency.

About the Opportunity Strategic Planning and Analysis: Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights for financial planning and analysis. Develop costing models to determine cost per sq ft, cost per KG, etc. of certain metrics of the business to be able to quickly utilize for analysis and reporting. Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess the impact of various business decisions on financial performance. Business partner with key managers in Brampton to support their functionality, including support with KPI execution.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor KPIs and financial metrics to track progress against goals and objectives at the Brampton location. Analyze major variances to targets and discuss with business leads. Aid in the modification / development of KPIs in Lakeshore Prepare executive-level reports and presentations for quarterly board meetings to communicate financial results, forecasts, and insights to senior management and stakeholders. Identify and communicate potential risks and opportunities to senior leadership.
Financial Modeling and Forecasting: Develop and maintain complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning. Budget to be built bottom-up for fiscal 2025. Continuously refine models to accurately reflect changes in business dynamics, market conditions, and strategic priorities. Work with Controller team to pull financial data on a monthly basis and conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario planning to assess the impact of various factors on financial performance for Brampton and develop the process for Lakeshore
Process Improvement and Optimization: Ad-hoc reporting to help improve processes – for example, tracking scrap production, contractual obligations to buy back billet based on scrap production, etc. Drive initiatives to standardize reporting formats, including the current KPI decks, enhance data integrity, and automate where possible the updating of existing reporting. Lead the development of SOPs for new processes as they become finalized.
About You Bachelor's degree – Finance, accounting, business, or equivalent CPA or pursuing CPA 3-5 yrs experience Canadian public accounting experience an asset, and Manufacturing experience preferred Exceptional analytical skills/intelligence Ambitious Wants to learn, high intellectual curiosity
Salary Range $100,000 - $125,000/year
