(LATAM/Africa) Banking Partners Development Lead, Payment/FinTech
About the role
Who We Are: OSL Group (HKEX: 863) Trust is the currency of the future, and at OSL, we have built our foundation on it. As Hong Kong's first and most established SFC-licensed and insured digital asset platform, we set the global standard for institutional-grade digital finance. Operating since 2018 as part of the publicly listed OSL Group (HKEX: 863), we provide world-class OTC brokerage, secure custody, wealth management, and revolutionary stablecoin payment solutions. Backed by industry-leading security, elite banking partners, and a relentless commitment to regulatory compliance, we are the trusted partner for tier-one institutions worldwide. If you are looking to accelerate your career in a high-growth environment where cutting-edge innovation meets uncompromising integrity, you belong at OSL.
The Role We are seeking a strategically minded Global Banking Relations Lead to serve as the chief architect of our global FI (Financial Institutions) network. Focusing heavily on high-growth emerging markets across LATAM, Africa, and beyond, you will be responsible for building the fiat on/off ramps and securing the commercial bank partnerships necessary to power our cross-border settlement infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities Architect the FI Network: Define and execute our global banking partnership strategy, identifying and targeting commercial banks, central banks, and payment infrastructure providers across LATAM, Africa, and other priority emerging markets. Build the Fiat-to-Crypto Bridge: Negotiate and secure local clearing accounts, fiat on/off ramps, and treasury services that connect local emerging market payment ecosystems to our global digital asset rails. Executive Stakeholder Management: Serve as the senior relationship owner for strategic banking partners. You will sit across the table from banking executives to build deep alignment, trust, and long-term collaboration in highly complex regulatory environments. Navigate Compliance & Risk: Act as the internal bridge between external banking partners and our internal Compliance, Legal, Treasury, and Risk teams to ensure all AML/KYC and due diligence frameworks are impeccably maintained. Drive Strategic Expansion: Proactively identify market trends, evolving regulatory landscapes, and new stablecoin/digital asset use cases to optimize our global fiat flows and payment routing.
Qualifications & Ideal Profile Experience: 10+ years of senior experience in Transaction Banking, Global FI Coverage, or Network Partnerships at a top-tier global bank or a leading cross-border payments fintech. Emerging Market Expertise: Unmatched understanding of cross-border flows, local clearing systems, and regulatory environments specifically within LATAM and/or Africa. A Proven Deal Closer: Demonstrated success in structuring, negotiating, and closing complex correspondent banking or fiat-clearing partnerships in heavily regulated jurisdictions. Compliance Fluent: Deep knowledge of banking operations, AML/KYC best practices, and the ability to confidently position digital asset infrastructure to traditional, risk-averse financial institutions. Web3/Crypto Ready: Prior experience working with stablecoins or digital asset payments is a strong plus, but not strictly required. You do not need to be a crypto-native, but you must have a deep understanding of—and interest in—how blockchain technology solves traditional banking friction. Executive Presence: Exceptional leadership and negotiation skills with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders both internally and externally.
Location & Travel Requirements APAC Base: Candidates must currently reside within an Asia-Pacific (APAC) / Asian time zone. There is a strong preference for individuals based in major hubs, specifically Hong Kong or Singapore. Flexible Arrangement: The specific working arrangement (remote, hybrid, or office-based) is flexible and will be tailored based on the successful candidate's current location. Global Mobility: As a senior relationship owner managing emerging market partnerships, this role requires extensive international business travel (frequently to LATAM, Africa, and other key regions) to conduct face-to-face negotiations and build trust with local banking executives.
