Your Role In a Nutshell As the Director of Finance, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Finance department while driving the company's financial strategy, planning, and operational excellence. Reporting to the executive leadership team, you will oversee all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, compliance, and financial operations, while leading a high-performing team and partnering cross-functionally to support the company's strategic objectives. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance operational execution with strategic planning in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environment.

What You Will Do Financial Leadership & Strategy Lead the company's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning processes. Develop financial models, KPI reporting, and performance dashboards to support executive decision-making. Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership. Identify opportunities to improve profitability, cash flow, and operational efficiency. Department Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team while establishing clear priorities, processes, and performance expectations. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Finance department, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and accountability across all functions. Build scalable processes and internal controls to support continued company growth. Partner with department leaders to support budgeting, resource planning, and financial performance. Accounting & Financial Operations Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process. Ensure the timely preparation of consolidated financial statements, management reporting packages, and executive dashboards. Maintain oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury, banking, and intercompany accounting. Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital requirements. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and all applicable financial reporting requirements. Manage external audits and serve as the primary liaison with auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners. Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls and corporate governance processes. Oversee HST filings, corporate tax support, and regulatory compliance. Vendor & Systems Management Own relationships with key financial vendors and service providers, including banking, payroll, ERP/accounting systems, insurance providers, and external consultants. Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and identify opportunities for cost optimization. Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of financial systems, reporting tools, and automation initiatives. Drive process improvements that increase efficiency, scalability, and financial visibility across the organization. Cross-Functional Leadership Partner closely with Operations, Sales, Customer Success, HR, and Technology to support strategic initiatives. Provide financial guidance for new products, pricing strategies, investments, acquisitions, and business initiatives. Support board reporting, investor requests, due diligence activities, and financing initiatives as required.

What we are looking for Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA designation (Canada) required. 8–10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, including management responsibilities. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial controls. Experience managing external vendors, auditors, financial institutions, and third-party service providers. Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive operational improvements. Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills with strong business acumen. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Experience within a SaaS or technology company is strongly preferred. Experience supporting fundraising, private equity, M&A, or board reporting is considered a strong asset.
