Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Collection Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, negotiating payment arrangements, and maintaining excellent client relationships. If you have strong communication skills, a knack for problem-solving, and a professional demeanor, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities 📞 Client Communication: Contact clients via phone, email, and written correspondence to collect past-due payments. 🚗 Field Support: Conduct on-site visits to merchants when necessary to investigate account status and discuss repayment options. 🤝 Negotiation: Establish and navigate repayment plans while maintaining positive customer relationships. 📊 Account Monitoring: Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on delinquent accounts. 💻 Data Integrity: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of collection activity in company systems. 👥 Internal Collaboration: Work alongside accounting, legal, and customer service teams to resolve disputes. ⚖️ Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all federal, provincial, and company collection policies.
Qualifications 🎓 Education: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred, but not required). 📈 Experience: 1+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related role. 🗣️ Languages: English (Required). Fluency in Mandarin is highly desired/required for this bilingual position. 🛠️ Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Salesforce or collections software is a plus. 🚘 Logistics: Must have the legal right to work in Canada. A valid Driver’s License is preferred.
