Data & Reporting Analyst - Principal & Procurement

Position function & Scope:
Reporting to the Principal Management Director within the Commercial team, the Reporting & Data Analyst is responsible for financial analysis and performance visibility of Principal and Procurement cost structures and trade agreements.
The role ensures accurate cost data, supports analysis of cost movements and variances, and provides insight into how Purchase Trade Agreement changes impact margin, forecast, and business performance. This role supports forecasting, S&OP inputs, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and financial decision-making by providing clear visibility into cost drivers and financial impacts.
Major tasks and duties:
Principal &Procurement Cost & Trade Agreement Governance: Maintain accurate Principal & Procurement cost data and trade agreement terms within D365 and related systems. Ensure cost, rebate, and agreement information is current, consistent, and aligned across the business. Cost & Financial Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze cost and margin performance across the Principal & Procurement portfolios. Identify key drivers of financial results and provide insights into risks, trends, and opportunities. Cost Variance & Impact Analysis: Evaluate cost variances and quantify the financial impact of supplier, volume, mix, and market changes. Support decision-making through scenario modelling and impact assessments. Forecasting & S&OP Support: Provide cost and margin inputs to forecasting and S&OP processes. Support forecast accuracy by identifying emerging risks, opportunities, and changes in cost outlook. Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) & Reporting: Support with financial analysis, performance reporting, and insights for Quarterly Business Reviews and ongoing business reviews. Develop reporting that supports performance management and strategic discussions. Data Management & Systems (D365 ERP): Maintain the integrity of cost, agreement, and financial data within D365 and reporting systems. Support continuous improvement of data quality, reporting processes, and system utilization. Cross-Functional Business Support: Partner with Commercial, Finance and Supply Chain teams to provide financial analysis and business support. Act as a key resource for resolving issues and improving visibility into principal performance.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, or related field 3–6 years experience in finance, commercial finance, cost analysis, FP&A, or supply chain finance Strong experience in cost and margin analysis, and variance reporting Exposure to forecasting or S&OP processes preferred Experience working in cross-functional business environments Strong analytical and financial modelling skills Advanced Excel capability Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred) Strong understanding of cost drivers and margin analysis High attention to detail and data accuracy Ability to translate financial data into clear insights Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
