Trusted Financial operates across major North American financial centers, including multiple cities in Canada and the United States. Role Description The Managing Director is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Canada, responsible for driving client engagements, firm growth, and overall strategic direction. This role leads complex advisory mandates across M&A, recapitalizations, and financing, overseeing deal origination, structuring, negotiation, and execution. The Managing Director builds and maintains senior-level client relationships, acts as a trusted advisor through key financial decisions, and ensures all engagements uphold the firm’s fiduciary standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing cross-functional teams, mentoring junior professionals, reviewing analytical work, and presenting recommendations to clients and stakeholders. The role also involves developing new business opportunities, collaborating with partners across offices, and representing Trusted Financial in the broader financial and business community. Qualifications Strong background in strategic finance and capital markets, including experience in M&A, recapitalization, and complex financing transactions. Proven leadership skills, with experience managing deal teams, mentoring talent, and driving high-performance, collaborative environments. Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to advise senior executives and present complex ideas clearly. Demonstrated commitment to fiduciary integrity, ethical decision-making, and client-first advisory practices. Track record of business development, including originating and converting opportunities with founders, CEOs, and business owners. Experience in middle-market advisory and familiarity with Canadian and North American financial ecosystems. Relevant advanced degree (e.g., MBA, finance, accounting, economics) and/or professional designation (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred. Ability to work on-site in Canada and travel as needed to client locations and other firm offices.
