About the role

Are you an experienced CPA with a passion for meaningful work and a strong skillset for reviewing and leading assurance and tax engagements?

Join Stolz Gallant Accountants & Advisors' growing team in a management role in Abbotsford, BC, where your expertise will make a real impact by supporting one of the Partners with managing engagements, reviewing files for compliance with professional and firm standards, and mentoring staff.

This role would be a great fit for someone currently working in a larger firm who is looking for improved work-life balance, broader technical exposure, less bureaucracy, and greater opportunities for professional growth.

Stolz Gallant Accountants & Advisors (www.stolzgallant.ca) is a growing accounting and advisory firm (Stolz CPA Inc. is the assurance division) providing professional public accounting, assurance, and tax services to small businesses, individuals, not-for-profit organizations, and Indigenous communities across British Columbia.

Our Technology Stack Microsoft 365 for productivity and collaboration (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) BigTime Delivery for project management and time tracking Caseware for audits and other accounting engagements TaxCycle for preparing and filing tax returns QuickBooks Online for bookkeeping engagements

Our continued double-digit growth has resulted in us moving to a larger office space (yet to be announced), and we are looking to expand our team of nine professionals. This position requires a CPA designation and at least five years of public practice experience.

This role combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on involvement in complex assurance and tax engagements. As an ideal candidate, you work efficiently and are adept at preparing and reviewing compilation, review, and audit engagements, with a thorough understanding of financial reporting frameworks for Canadian not-for-profit organizations, private enterprises, and Indigenous communities.

You are comfortable completing and reviewing engagements with minimal supervision, communicating effectively with clients, and mentoring team members at all levels. You have exceptional attention to detail, take pride in producing high-quality work, and are mindful of budgets and deadlines. We support flexible work arrangements and value a balanced lifestyle alongside professional excellence.
