Role Description The Corporate Tax Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position located in Aylmer, ON. This role involves preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial tax regulations, and assisting with tax planning initiatives to optimize clients’ tax positions. The Corporate Tax Accountant will analyze financial statements, reconcile tax accounts, and identify potential tax risks or opportunities. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate tax records, responding to tax-related inquiries, supporting year-end and audit processes, and staying current with changes in tax legislation. The role requires collaboration with internal team members and direct communication with clients to explain tax findings and provide clear recommendations. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in tax compliance and tax preparation, with experience handling corporate tax filings. Strong understanding of tax principles and regulations, including corporate tax planning and reporting. Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements and related reports. Solid accounting knowledge, including general ledger, reconciliations, and financial controls. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional designation (CPA or in progress) is an asset. Experience using accounting and tax software, with strong Excel skills. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a client-focused and collaborative work style.
