About the Role Type: Full-Time Salary: $90,000–$95,000 CAD Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Location: Winnipeg, MB As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting operational and financial performance across a major logistics operation. Working closely with operational leadership, you will provide financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis that drive business decisions and improve profitability. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys partnering with operations, solving complex business challenges, and influencing decision-making through data-driven insights. Partner with Operations leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability. Analyze monthly financial results, investigate variances, and provide recommendations. Prepare journal entries, support month-end close activities, and ensure accurate financial reporting. Monitor operational KPIs, profitability, startup costs, and investment initiatives. Manage customer billing, revenue recognition, accounts receivable monitoring, and general ledger postings. Ensure all revenue opportunities are accurately captured and billed. Deliver financial training and guidance to operational leaders on financial policies, procedures, and reporting tools. Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance through operational audits and financial controls. Act as a key liaison between Operations, Shared Services, and Corporate Finance teams. Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in Finance or Accounting. Strong experience with: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Financial Reporting Budgeting & Forecasting General Ledger Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Billing Inventory Management & Financial Controls Strong understanding of income statements, balance sheets, and financial analysis. Experience supporting operations within a logistics, transportation, manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environment is considered a strong asset. Experience working with ERP systems (Workday preferred). Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, large data analysis, and financial modeling. Experience with Power BI is considered an asset. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to build strong partnerships with operational leaders and influence business decisions. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
