      Requisition ID: 265871 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.  Associate Director, Equity Capital Markets – Toronto, ON   Global Banking and Markets Global Banking and Markets (GBM) conducts the Bank’s wholesale banking and capital markets business with corporate, government and institutional investor clients. GBM is a full-service wholesale bank and investment dealer in Canada and Mexico and offers a range of products and services in the U.S., Latin America and in select markets in Europe and Asia-Pacific.   More specifically, GBM provides clients with: corporate lending; transaction banking (including payments, trade finance and cash management); investment banking (including corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions); fixed income and equity underwriting, sales, trading and research; prime services (prime brokerage and stock lending); foreign exchange sales and trading; commodity derivatives; and collateral management.   Position Highlights Associate Directors in Equity Capital Markets enjoy a stimulating and challenging work environment in which they lead and execute on equity and equity-linked transactions as well as responsibility for coaching and developing their teams.   With a limited hierarchy of professionals and a small project team approach, Associates Directors have ample opportunity for career growth and development.  On any given project, you will interact with other departments of the firm such as Global Investment Banking, Global Equity Sales & Trading, Global Equity Derivatives and Mergers & Acquisitions. Associate Directors will have exposure to a broad range of industry groups including Technology, Real Estate, Energy, Mining, Financial Services, Consumers & Industrials, Financial Sponsors and Power & Utilities.   What You'll Do:

Actively support the team on all stages of equity and equity-linked transaction execution, from pitch phase through to closing of the transaction. Execute complex transactions with limited senior management oversight with respect to the day-to-day execution of the mandate Deliver high-quality presentations and well thought out analysis, applying product and capital markets knowledge to help clients achieve their financial objectives Partner with ECM in other geographies (US, LatAM) and other product groups to deliver multiple capabilities to the client Lead junior members of the team in managing all workflow for origination or execution, including delegations of work appropriately to ensure completion of the work is efficient Demonstrate inclusive leadership by coaching team members, in addition to acting in a mentorship capacity to promote continuous growth and development

    What You'll Bring:

A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification

5+ years of relevant capital markets experience, ideally in equity capital markets or investment banking Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong quantitative skills focused on financial analysis, accounting and financial theory; and / or Canadian Securities Law and practice Strong written and verbal communication skills High professional standards including a strong sense of personal integrity and teamwork Willingness to work extended business hours, including nights and weekends as required
