About the role

A career as a Lead Expert (Quebec) at National Bank Financial – Wealth Management (NBFWM) means acting as a leader in the deployment of an integrated financial and estate planning offering.

This role allows you to have a tangible impact on the quality of advice provided to advisors and their clients, leveraging your expertise in wealth management, taxation, and multidisciplinary team leadership.

Your role

Lead and engage a multidisciplinary team specializing in financial, estate, and tax planning to ensure a consistent and high-performing service offering

Deploy, optimize, and evolve the wealth management offering for advisors, promoting its adoption and integration into their practices

Ensure strategic alignment with national leaders and collaborate with internal partners to maximize synergies (insurance, banking solutions, trust services, etc.)

Oversee team performance by setting clear objectives, fostering engagement, and developing talent

Supervise human and financial resource management (planning, recruitment, budgeting) to support growth and profitability

Contribute to business development and the visibility of the sector by participating in committees, delivering internal presentations, meeting with high-net-worth and prospective clients, and contributing to strategic initiatives

Your team

The Wealth Management Solutions Vice Presidency within NBFWM is a team of specialists who work in an agile, proactive, and collaborative manner to seize opportunities and continuously improve practices.

You are responsible for a team of approximately 15 colleagues and report to the Associate Vice-President. Our team stands out for its expertise, collaborative mindset, and ability to generate value for clients and internal partners.

Prerequisites

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (finance, taxation, law, accounting, actuarial science) and a minimum of 10 years of experience in financial planning, estate planning, or wealth transfer

Recognized certification in financial planning or taxation (e.g., CFP, TEP)

Strong knowledge of the wealth management industry

Significant experience in team management

Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives and manage complex issues

Experience in business or wealth transfer (an asset)

Additional Languages: French, English Reason to require this language: you will need to work closely with our colleagues outside Quebec.
