POSTING CLOSE DATE: July 5, 2026 THE OPPORTUNITY Play a key role in supporting BCI’s Infrastructure & Renewable Resources (I&RR) team and one of the largest institutional infrastructure portfolios globally. Based in Victoria, BC and reporting to the Senior Manager, Portfolio Operations, this role serves as a subject matter expert in portfolio operations within infrastructure investing. This is not an administrative or accounting role; there is no checklist and no day will be the same. This is your opportunity to take ownership of complex, high-impact work where precision, sound judgment, and accountability are critical. Structured training and onboarding are provided, with the expectation of quickly building expertise and operating with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. You will be part of a high-performing, collaborative team with direct exposure across the investment lifecycle and clear opportunities to deepen your expertise and advance within portfolio and investment operations. WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH You will join BCI’s Infrastructure & Renewable Resources (I&RR) Department, which invests globally across energy, transport, utilities, data infrastructure, timberland, and agriculture. This role is part of the Portfolio Operations team, a close-knit group of five supporting the I&RR portfolio. The team partners closely with Investment Operations, Finance (Investment Accounting) and Legal, to support accurate and efficient transaction processing, as well as portfolio monitoring and reporting. WHAT YOU BRING 3+ years of relevant experience in investment operations, finance, or a related function involving complex financial transactions Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and experience with SharePoint Experience leveraging technology and data tools, including emerging AI capabilities, to improve efficiency and streamline processes Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage competing deliverables in a fast-paced environment Preferred Progress toward, or strong interest in, a relevant professional designation (e.g., CFA, Investment Foundations, or equivalent) is an asset Ability to interpret and apply contractual/legal documentation operationally; investment documentation (e.g., LPAs, notices) is an asset WHAT YOU WILL DO Executes investment lifecycle activities, including complex transaction processing, allocation calculations, and payment coordination with external managers Analyzes investment notices for tax implications and performs client-level recalculations Manages KPI and ESG data collection processes with portfolio companies, including coordination, validation, and system integration (eFront) Oversees portfolio data capture for fund investments, enabling timely and accurate internal reporting Reconciles transactions and commitments. Investigates discrepancies across systems using sound judgment and technical expertise Supports valuation processes and allocates legal and corporate invoices across investment structures, considering tax implications Fosters good working relationships with external partners and manages access to investment platforms Maintains investment records and updates policies and procedures Leverages AI tools to improve analytical workflows and efficiency WHERE YOU WILL WORK This role is based at BCI's headquarters in Victoria, British Columbia. SALARY RANGE The annualized base salary range for this Victoria-based role is CAD $77,000 to $95,000 BCI offers a competitive total rewards package, including a performance-based incentive plan, comprehensive health & dental benefits, a defined benefit pension plan, and paid time off. We pay our people competitively in the markets in which we operate and with consideration for internal equity and job structure. The base salary will consider factors such as the individual's skill set, experience, and internal equity. We aim for actual pay to be around the market median for expected performance and the upper quartile for excellent performance. Actual salaries may vary based on experience and expertise.
