Commercial Property Manager/Accountant (Contract) 40-$50/hour 3-Month Contract (strong possibility of extension or permanent conversion) Fully Onsite (Downtown Toronto)

Key Responsibilities Oversee an assigned commercial and retail region, managing a portfolio of up to 400 sites. Maintain and update all system lease data in strict accordance with internal corporate quality standards, ensuring accurate monthly rent payments, budgeted CAM, property taxes, and ad-hoc billings. Independently execute, validate, and sign off on complex year-end reconciliations, property tax reviews, lease audits, and tenant rent adjustments. Act as the primary point of contact for landlords and franchisees, navigating complex or delicate property issues, lease interpretations, site disputes, and escalations. Actively manage and monitor tenant accounts receivable, bad debt, and collection activities to minimize outstanding arrears. Manage the day-to-day operations and establish structured, preventative maintenance schedules for our dedicated Non-Restaurant Property portfolio.
What You Need to Succeed 5+ years of progressive experience in commercial property management, lease administration, or property accounting. (Strictly looking for commercial/retail backgrounds). Hands-on experience with major financial or ERP software architectures (SAP or Oracle preferred) to manage complex data workflows and system adjustments. Deep competency in executing year-end reconciliations, CAM forecasting, and auditing complex commercial leases. Extraordinary interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a proven capability to influence a wide range of internal and external audiences on sensitive property matters. Well-organized with a demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure, manage competing priorities, and comfortably deal with uncertainty in a fast-paced environment.
