Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000

Overview:
The Associate Director & Team Lead will be responsible to oversee and lead a Team of Commercial Analysts by providing guidance and support to reach department’s Key Performance Indicators as well as ensuring all service levels are adhered to and day-to-day operations are delivered at the highest quality and in accordance with company policies and procedures. The key stakeholders include Commercial borrowers, investors, mortgage insurers, property insurers as well as internal departments. This role will have a significant influence on the improvement in our customer and investor experience and our ability to meet our strategic goals.
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities:**Management Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing the departmental targets representing collection and review of annual Financial Information, Rent Rolls and Operating statements along with supporting documents from borrowers. Knowledge in CMHC is an asset
- Oversee commercial analysts cash flows and ability to make sound decisions to mitigate risk.
- Strategic leadership and decision making.
- Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team.
- Knowledge of commercial lending, underwriting, and core loan documentation, with CMHC expertise that enables effective leadership of the team in delivering all post-closing requirements.
- Oversee the Teams post funding requests of commercial real estate security and any amendments for review and approval.
- Demonstrate excellent leadership skills and qualities to build a high performing Team.
- Enable a positive culture for staff growth, performance and development.
- Coaching and development of staff, learn new skills and enhance their existing knowledge.
- Ensure all mortgage servicing transactions and activities are managed within the stated service levels both externally and internally.
- Conduct Quality Reviews of day-to-day activities performed by staff.
- Handle all escalations and determine root cause analysis.
- Manage all loan monitoring due diligence in a timely fashion as required by CMHC and investors.
- Ensure documents and reports are provided to Investors as required to satisfy the in-force Servicing Agreement between the investor and FN.
- Ensure all internal policies are acceptable for a prudent servicer and meet the requirements of numerous Investor Servicing Agreements as per Investor audits.
- Enable continuous improvement of processes and system utilization to enhance the output and reduce unit costs.
- Provide leadership and direction to ensure long term optimal operational results.
- Complete special projects as assigned by Assistant Vice President (AVP), Commercial Asset Management
- Ensure initiatives are executed and delivered in a timely manner.
- Participates in the recruitment process, screening resumes and conducting interviews.
- Responsible for conducting annual performance reviews and setting performance goals.
- Works closely with Senior Manager in development of department enhancements and efficiencies

Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in the financial industry, including commercial mortgages
- experience preferred.
