As a Finance Summer Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting financial operations, reporting, analysis, and commercial decision-making within a dynamic and fast-growing business. You'll work directly with the Senior Finance Manager in Canada while collaborating with Finance colleagues across our Americas and Southern Europe (ASE) region, along with cross-functional teams locally in Canada.

This role is ideal for a student pursuing Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Business Analytics, or a related field who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and learning how finance supports business performance and strategic decision-making.

Job Description

What you'll gain:

Financial Forecasting & Modelling:

  • Build and update cohort-based financial models used to analyze player behaviour trends and project future revenue and business performance
  • Support forecasting activities by reviewing trends, validating assumptions, and maintaining data accuracy

Financial Operations:

  • Support vendor onboarding, purchase orders, invoice processing, and payment tracking
  • Navigate company policies and collaborate with stakeholders across functions to support smooth financial operations

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  • Support month-end close activities and weekly financial reporting processes
  • Assist in preparing financial commentary and performance insights for leadership and business stakeholders

Marketing Spend Management:

  • Monitor and track expenditures against approved budgets and guardrails
  • Help connect financial reporting with commercial and operational decision-making

Data Analysis & Insights:

  • Analyze large datasets across various business metrics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
  • Support ad hoc analysis and business requests to help inform decision-making

Process Improvement & Documentation:

  • Identify opportunities to improve existing workflows and reporting processes
  • Assist in documenting finance processes and procedures to support team efficiency and knowledge sharing

Tools & Exposure

During this internship, you may gain exposure to:

  • Excel and financial modelling

  • Pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis techniques

  • PowerPoint and presentation development

  • Financial systems and reporting tools

  • Cross-function business collaboration and stakeholder communication

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable working with data and Excel

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Interest in financial analysis, operations, and business performance

  • Previous internship, co-op, or part-time experience is considered an asset but not required
