Senior Credit Analyst (Contract) Location: Waterloo, Ontario (Onsite – 5 Days per Week) Contract Duration :July 2, 2026 – December 31, 2026

Position Overvie wWe are seeking an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join our Finance team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of business customers, making informed credit decisions, and managing credit risk while supporting business growth. This role requires strong financial analysis capabilities and proven experience in B2B credit granting .Key Responsibilitie sAnalyze and interpret customer financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements .Conduct comprehensive credit assessments for new and existing business customers .Evaluate credit applications and recommend appropriate credit limits and payment terms .Assess financial strength, liquidity, profitability, and overall credit risk of commercial clients .Monitor customer credit exposure and identify potential risks or deteriorating financial conditions .Support credit approval processes and ensure compliance with internal credit policies and procedures .Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Collections, and other stakeholders to balance risk management with business objectives .Prepare and present credit recommendations and risk assessments to management .Maintain accurate credit documentation and customer records .Assist in managing accounts with elevated risk and recommend mitigation strategies .Required Qualification sProven experience as a Credit Analyst, Senior Credit Analyst, or similar commercial credit role .Strong experience in B2B credit granting and commercial credit evaluation .Advanced ability to analyze and interpret financial statements .Solid understanding of credit risk assessment methodologies and credit decision-making processes .Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills .Excellent written and verbal communication skills .Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment .Preferred Qualification sExperience working within a corporate finance, credit risk, or accounts receivable environment .Knowledge of commercial credit reporting agencies and credit scoring tools .Experience supporting large enterprise or commercial customer portfolios .Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools .Top Skill sFinancial Statement Analysi sCommercial Credit Risk Assessmen tB2B Credit Grantin gCredit Decision Makin gStakeholder Managemen tAnalytical and Problem-Solving Skill
