Job Description What is the opportunity? This role supports the RBC Global Asset Management (GAM) Office of the Independent Review Committee (IRC). This role will oversee all documentation matters relating to the Office of the IRC and will work closely with the Managing Director and Secretary of the IRC along with members of the IRC and various functional support groups across GAM. What will you do? Understands IRC regulation NI 81-107 and related industry development Develop good understanding of conflicts of interest matters and RBC related party transactions Develop deep understanding of all Approval and Recommendation policies including the quarterly documentation support requirements. This includes reviewing details of certificates and transaction details for consistency. Develop understanding of GAM investment and operational processes Organize quarterly IRC meetings and coordinate with various parties for materials as well as scheduling internal and external participants Organize quarterly materials binder on Diligent platform and capture the minutes of the meetings Demonstrate commitment to process improvement, including initiatives to streamlining document support and management Participate in IRC meetings and take well-documented minutes of the meetings Support travel bookings for IRC members and track fees and expenses Support IRC meeting logistics including space booking and meals Support various other key GAM committees such as Conflicts of Interest Governance Committee and more. What do you need to succeed? Must Have: Demonstrated experience and expertise in document management with the potential to improve efficiency in existing processes Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, specifically able to interact with external IRC members and to collaborate with internal staff respectfully and influence outcomes Ability to perform well under pressure to multitask and reprioritize tasks as necessary and meet time sensitive deadlines Willingness to adapt and deal with a range of issues and responsibilities to support the success of running the Office of the IRC Willingness to learn quickly and own the responsibilities Willingness to learn quickly (including the use of RBC Assist Pro) and own the responsibilities Nice to Have: Legal training (law degree) or experience with National Instruments 81-107 or similar legislation Experience with maintaining and keeping digital records Experience in the asset management industry What’s in it for you?
