About the role

Our client, an established and innovative technology company, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist to join their Finance team in a full-time, permanent role. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative organization that develops industry-leading manufacturing and data solutions for customers worldwide. Working closely with the Corporate Controller, the successful candidate will support accounts payable and payroll processes, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to efficient financial operations, including reconciliations and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate is an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented professional with strong time management and communication skills. They are a collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages competing priorities effectively, and brings a positive, solutions-focused approach to their work. Main responsibilities include:

Manage day-to-day accounts payable and payroll activities while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements Process financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and complete account reconciliations to support the integrity of financial reporting Support payroll administration, including processing, reporting, and related compliance activities Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, audits, and other financial reporting requirements Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve inquiries and support efficient financial operations Contribute to process improvements and provide general accounting support as needed

Qualifications

The main qualifications for this role include: Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 2+ years of experience processing Canadian payroll, including payroll reporting and statutory remittance requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel Experience with ERP/accounting systems and electronic payment platforms

How You Will Be Rewarded:

$60,000 - $73,000 annual salary range Full benefits + wellness allowance 3 weeks’ vacation, 6 sick days Hybrid work environment 3% RRSP match
