We’re Looking For: Our Director of Business Transformation is a unique and critical leadership role where your efforts will make an impact across the AFC organization and throughout the broader OPENLANE enterprise. Key objectives include helping frontline businesses (such as branch locations) as well as internal functions (such as Operations, Credit, Finance, and Risk) to drive innovation that results in more efficient processes, positive customer impact, and improved financial metrics. You will act as a leader in the following areas: Develop and implement plans for AFC’s strategic vision: Evaluate the current state of AFC’s and the markets’ products, services, and business practices to identify and prioritize areas of improvement to support AFC’s strategic vision. Create roadmaps, provide leadership to project teams, and oversee real world implementation of projects. Re-think workflows: Optimize important processes through either process reengineering or innovation, by driving toward a balance of cost efficiency, dealer service, employee usability, market innovation, and risk controls. Proactively use system data, voice of the customer data, voice of the employee data, and market intelligence to help inform proposed workflow overhauls. Be a Change Agent: Operating with the confines of AFC’s culture, help shepherd positive change by involving appropriate stakeholders, create awareness and engagement for new ways of doing business, and assess and adapt as change becomes implemented. You Bring: Core Knowledge End-to-end efficient business process design and operational cost optimization Business process mapping and workflow documentation alongside subject matter experts Core prioritization frameworks including Return on Investment (ROI) Floorplan market knowledge and expertise Functional Expertise Strategic project management and day-to-day process analysis Enterprise change management, roadmapping, and facilitating Review Board practices Leading issue resolution across multiple business units and teams Setting clear completion objectives and completing after action reviews Technical Expertise Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Advanced analytical proficiency in the Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) Deep expertise in Sheets and at least one statistical analysis tool or framework (such as Tableau, PowerBI, SPSS, SAS, Python, or R) You Own: Process Analysis and Design (30%) Own day-to-day process analysis, outline business process flows with SMEs, facilitate white-boarding sessions, and deliver impactful recommendations for end-to-end efficient process design. Stakeholder Communication and Project Execution (30%) Develop, maintain and oversee execution of achievable project plans. Evaluate progress and end results, and propose and execute on refinements and improvements as appropriate. Engage with end customers both pre and post project to ensure that proposed solutions are meeting customer needs and expectations Strategic Transformation and Productivity Improvement (20%) Identify operational and growth opportunities and actionable solutions to improve bottom-line financial performance. Provide leadership on opportunity prioritization to help support achievement of AFC’s strategic goals. Cross-Functional Collaboration (20%) Partner with the Business Technology teams to set realistic goals, refine requirements, and support technical implementation of initiatives Interface with various client business units and outside partners to support firm-wide and operations initiatives, promoting enterprise-level improvements across AFC and other OPENLANE business units. You Drive: Execution: Translating business strategy into clear process goals, roadmaps, and plans Ensuring high-quality operational delivery and risk mitigation across teams Driving clarity, organizing enterprise change, and facilitating Review Board practices Results: Delivering measurable productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction outcomes Ensuring business process investments directly align to company strategy Creating bottom-line financial impact through continuous business evolution Who You Will Work With: ● Reporting to the VP, Strategic Operations, this role will collaborate with Business Technology teams, field / branch location leaders, and internal functions (Operations, Credit, Finance, and Risk) on a regular basis. ● Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and frontline business operators, and product/engineering peers. ● Cross-functional OPENLANE business unit leaders and stakeholders. ● Outside partners supporting OPENLANE. ● Executive leadership. Where You Work: ● Your work is performed as a Hybrid or Remote employee, depending on business needs and location. Occasional travel may be required. Must Have’s: ● An advanced level understanding of the vehicle floorplanning market ● 5+ years of related IT, Technical or Application Support, Coordination, or Project Management experience. ● 5+ years of experience leading resolution of issues across multiple business units and teams. ● 10+ years of proven leadership experience, especially with production support, engineering, issue management, and managing workloads for teams. ● Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent related experience. ● Advanced analytical skills with strong proficiency in Sheets and at least one other statistical analysis tool (Tableau, PowerBI, SPSS, SAS, Python, R). Nice to Have’s: ● Proven experience working with Agile methodologies and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
