We’re looking for a dynamic Commercial Risk Placement Broker to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating, securing, and delivering top-notch insurance programs and expert advice for our diverse range of clients, including small to mid-size and large accounts.
Position type: Full-time, permanent
Role status: Replacement
Locations: Toronto or Other Offices
Primary Responsibilities
Create, secure, and deliver high-quality insurance programs for a diverse range of clients, including small, mid-size, and large accounts Provide expert advice to prospects and clients on insurance needs Manage onboarding of new clients to KRGinsure Assess risks and identify coverage gaps Collaborate with producers, underwriters, and insurance partners Upsell and cross-sell products where appropriate Prepare marketing submissions, binders, and proposals
Qualifications Required
RIBO license, active and in good standing, is required Minimum three years of commercial insurance brokerage experience Strong technical insurance knowledge in placement of all classes of insurance, including specialty products and placement for mid-large multi-line accounts ranging from niche and $50,000 to $1 million in premium, as well as US and International risks Some knowledge of specialty products and or segment needs would be an asset (e.g. Cyber, D&O, E&O, etc.) Other industry qualifications, such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, etc., would be considered an asset Post-secondary education would be considered an asset
Skills & Attributes Required
Exceptional customer service skills with strong business acumen Sales-driven approach to account management, the ability to identify coverage gaps, and upsell/cross-sell Strong analytical skills Must be a team player and have a strong work ethic Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills Organized with effective time management skills Self-directed and able to coordinate multiple placements for large multi-line accounts Ability to use creativity in structuring product proposals and documentation Advanced computer skills with experience in MS Office, EPIC, Applied Systems (TAM, Applied Rater) and PolicyWorks required
Compensation Range: $60,000 to $110,000 annually
Compensation is based on a full-time 35-hour work week and will be dependent upon the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. It includes variable commissions and potential performance-based bonus.
