THE OPPORTUNITY As an Account Executive on our Inside Sales team, you will be the first point of contact for small business owners exploring financing options with Merchant Growth. You will engage prospective merchants through inbound inquiries, outbound prospecting, and referrals while building your own pipeline and guiding merchants who have never been funded by Merchant Growth before, from first conversation through to funding.
This is a 100% net-new business role: there are no renewals and no existing book of business to inherit. You'll be part of a close-knit, target-driven inside sales team, with daily coaching, structured onboarding, and a clear path for growth.
This is not an entry-level sales role. We're looking for someone who has already proven they can win in a full-cycle, quota-carrying environment, and who's ready to be rewarded for it with one of the strongest commission structures in the industry.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT
- Fluent English (spoken and written) is required.
- French language skills are considered a strong asset but are not required for this role.
WHAT YOU'LL DO Build and manage your own pipeline of net-new prospects through outbound calling, inbound leads, and referral sources. This role has no responsibility for renewals or an existing book of business Consistently meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly activity and opportunity targets (calls, emails, and qualified opportunities created) Qualify prospective merchants' financing needs and match them with the right product and funding structure Coordinate, negotiate, and prepare funding applications and terms, guiding merchants through the process from first conversation to funding Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in Salesforce and Salesloft Handle objections with confidence and professionalism, maximizing every opportunity to close Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service at every touchpoint Execute the day-to-day priorities and strategies set by your manager, and adhere to company policies on deal structure
WHAT YOU'LL BRING A demonstrated, verifiable track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota in a full-cycle, target-driven sales role 2+ years of outbound, phone-based sales experience, ideally in financial services, fintech, or another fast-paced, metrics-driven environment A diploma or degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a consultative, confident approach to selling and handling objections Comfortable spending the majority of the day on the phone Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the judgment to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce and Salesloft (or similar) Fluent English (spoken and written), required French language proficiency is an asset, not required
NICE TO HAVE History of top-performer recognition (e.g., President's Club, quota-attainment awards) in a previous sales role Conversational or fluent French Experience in the fintech, alternative lending, or financial services industry Knowledge of financial services market structures (lenders, aggregators, brokers, etc.)
