About the role
Brainhunter is currently seeking the services of a “Sr Software Developer” for a contract role with one of our Valued Clients.
Work Style: Hybrid - 3 day/week in-office Anticipated Start Date: 4 weeks from the official offer day End Date: 31 Dec 2026
Any specific tools/skillset: Ramp up quickly, problem solver, take full ownership of the work 8+ years of experience in Java development. Strong experience with Java 11/17, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices. Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred). Experience with CI/CD, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes. Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance tuning skills. Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. Experience with observability, monitoring, and resilience patterns. Experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka.
Nice to Have Exposure to AI/Generative AI technologies and AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI). Previous experience in financial services or highly regulated environments.

While the focus is on development, you may also take initiative in introducing new tools, patterns, or practices that improve team efficiency and business value.You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering high‑quality software, supporting continuous improvement, and mentoring other developers within the team.
