Temporary Full Time
This is a student position that is 4 months in duration for the term(s): September-December. You must be a student registered in a Canadian College or University. This position is for students returning to school after their work term or requiring a placement as requirements for graduation. While not required, preference will be given to students enrolled in a registered Co-op program. Applicants are required to submit both their resume and their most recent unofficial transcript as part of the application process. The Strategic Finance team is seeking a motivated and analytical Financial Specialist (Student Position) to support technology strategy initiatives and portfolio‑level financial management. This campus opportunity offers hands‑on experience in financial modeling, business case development, and strategic reporting while working closely with experienced finance and strategy professionals. In this role, you will contribute to meaningful financial analysis and reporting that supports key strategic initiatives and technology investments. This position is ideal for students looking to apply academic learning in a real‑world, corporate environment and build foundational skills in finance and strategy. What You’ll Do Financial Modeling & Business Case Support
Support the development of financial models to assess the viability and financial impact of strategic initiatives and partnerships Assist in preparing clear, well‑structured business cases for leadership review and approvals
Portfolio Financial Management
Support the initiative gating process and assist delivery teams with the preparation and review of gating artifacts, as required Partner with initiative owners to track budgets, forecasts, and actual spending against targets Help produce monthly reporting dashboards for leadership on initiative‑level and technology strategy financials
Reporting & Ad‑Hoc Analysis
Develop professional, persuasive presentation materials with clear insights for senior leadership Assist with ad‑hoc financial reports, summaries, and analysis as requested Support additional reporting initiatives as needed by the Strategic Finance team
What You Bring
Pursuing an MBA (or related graduate program), with demonstrated interest in finance, technology strategy, or business analysis. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Strong analytical and financial problem‑solving skills, with the ability to clearly interpret and present findings Strong written and verbal communication skills Well organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively Comfortable working in a team‑based, collaborative environment Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and adaptability in a changing environment Strong time‑management skills and attention to detail
Nice to Have
Prior experience through a co‑op, internship, or part‑time role in finance, strategy, or analytics Exposure to financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, or reporting Experience supporting presentations or materials for senior leadership

The base salary for this position is between $48,000 - $71,900 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you. For our student opportunities, the base salary will be dependent on the number of work terms you have completed along with other factors depending on your program. Career opportunities will be open a minimum of 5 business days from the date of posting, closing dates will vary depending on the search activity.
